Happy New Years...Everyone!

First of all, I want to wish allllllllllllll of you a very wonderful Happy New Years and many, many blessings to come, for you and your families! As I reflect back on 2008, I stand in awe. In awe at what the Lord has done in my life, my marriage, my home, and in the hearts of our children. It's been a great, great year for our household. And yes, even with trials but...with trials (and God's grace), comes growth, strength, & endurance. To God be the glory!

Now...I am so excited and couldn't wait to share with you but...I have been invited as January's Guest Designer for "Storage Units, Ink & More". OMGosh, I was so honored (and nervous too, hee-hee), first time EVER! Woohoooooo...

I couldn't wait to play with this new cute set..."Will You Be My Valentine", which is only one of two sets that are scheduled to be released today. Pop on over at SUInk & More and take a "Sneak Peak" at all the fabulous cards created by our awesome team of ladies.

Let's see...on this card I used a CB Embossing folder on the white strip. I then stamped the images with black Versa Craft and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Next I paper pieced the lil' girls skirt and lil' boy's shirt. I also used my Cricut machine to assist in cutting out the scalloped squares, I attached Prima Flowers and added stickles to the little hearts.Dimensionals were used behind the boy and girl and as you can see, gem stones were placed in the center of the flowers.Stamps: (SUInk&More) Will You Be My Valentine
Paper: (SU) White & Red Card stock, (DCWV Paper Stack) DS paper
Ink: (SU) Markers, Black Versa Craft
Accessories: CB Embossing Folder, Cricut, Gem stones, Stickles, Dimensionals, Clear Embossing Powder, Prima Flowers

Thank you for stopping by and have a very blessed New Years in Jesus! Aloha and God Bless~ Rina

Spring Time Hanna...Near Christmas Time, Huh!?!

Oh, Oh...OMGosh, silly ol' me. Only now, this very moment, I realized that I did not place a sentiment on this card. Although there are many, that I intentionally leave blank, this was not one of them. Do you believe, I didn't even take notice, while hubby was taking the photo. Hmmmm...I must be going through mentalpause (hee,hee...only kidding).

At first when creating this card, I had no clue as to what I was trying to achieve. All I know, is that I wanted to play with my Spring Time Hanna stamp set (and yes I know, I know...we are nearing Christmas but...), along with my almost new Fluffy Ewenice from High Hopes. (Both images were purchased from Little C's).

Let's see, first the sky and the grassy hills were created by dabbing, with a sponge. I then, paper pieced Hanna's skirt and...

used Puffy Velvet to create the fluff for Ewenice's wool. I also used (as you can see), CB Embossing Folder for the background, (TAC) DS Paper and Ribbons. All Inks and Markers are from SU.

I am actually pleased on how this card turned out (except for the missing sentiment-lol). Hope you enjoy it, as well.

Thank you for stopping by...have a blessed day!!!

BLOG CANDY GIVE AWAY...COMING SOON!

In celebration of our 1000+ hits in the very first week, of being in Blogland, we will soon be giving away some yummy candy. So please be on the look out for details, soon to come.

Before I go any further...HAPPY VETERANS DAY, to all of our Vets. Give a Vet a hug today and tell him/her "Thank you" for serving our Country.

Now...Today's card features Kiss The Cook Hanna. Which was CASED and inspired by Candice of Rubbah Soul. I liked what I saw and decided to give it a try. Honestly, I am actually pleased with the color selection. For those of you who knows me (and those who will soon come to know me), my favorite colors to work with are earth tones, greens, & purples. But I must say, I'm glad I stepped outside of my little circle of tones and went with this shade. It's kinda hard to tell (I'm sorry) but the spaghetti bowl is 3D, attached by a pop dot and the decorative staple holding the ribbon reads..."Sweet".

Card Details:
Stamps: Kiss the Cook Hanna, Cafe Hanna (Little C's )
Paper: DS paper (TAC)
Accessories: CB Embossing Folder "D'vine Swirl", Ribbon, Decorative Staple, Pop Dots
Technique: Paper Pieced

Thank you for visiting and have a Blessed day!
