Little C's Weekly Challenge...Color Challenge

Happy Tuesday! It's color time again. Yep, this week's "LCWC" is a color combo. Check out the beautiful set of colors we DT's were challenged with.

For this challenge and the purpose of this card, I chose to use an "Anya" image. I think, they are just so adorable. I applied purple stickles to her crown and frosted stickles to her wand. The DS paper, Maroon CS, and sentiment are all of SU! and the vanilla CS is unknown (sorry). Designer brads and prima flowers were purchased from my favorite online store =)...Little C's. I also used the oval nesties and cricut's "Accent Essentials" cartridge.

For more inspiration, check out the rest of the DT's fabulous work then...come and play! Have fun and can't wait to see what you come up with. Thanks a bunch for stopping by. I hope you were blessed, as much as I have been blessed by you. Aloha and God Bless!

Christmas Stampin All Year Long...Challenge #5

First of all...Happy Monday all! Well here we are, already on our fifth challenge of the year for "CSAYL". My, how this year is just moving along. For this round, Maria not only challenged the blog team with a sketch but...a color combo in addition. Which I thought was so cool. Here is the sketch we were all challenged with and the color combo is...pink, purple, & blue.

Below is my take on this challenge. This too was kinda a really quick, last minute rush job. The image, DS paper, CS, and scallop punch are all from Stampin' Up. I also used a CB embossing folder and some lavender gem stones, to top off.

The gem stones actually added a nice touch to the card, IRL. Here's a close up view. Don't forget to hop on over and check out the rest of the team's creations for this challenge. While there come along and play! Thank you for stopping by and as always I appreciate you and your sweet comments and encouragement. Have a wonderful day in Jesus!

"Thinking of You" Card Set Gift Pack...

This gift set is something I wanted to make for someone very special to me...my younger sister Liz of Hyz2praze. I know she wasn't feeling well, so I wanted to create something just to say I'm "Thinking of You".

I was very inspired after seeing this idea on Rachel's of Paper Crafts By Rach, that I decided to case it. I chose to create this holder for something I know, my sister would appreciate and certainly put to good use. That's where the card sets came to mind. For those who knows Liz, knows she's an avid reader. Therefore I went with this image, WOF's "Angel Reading Book"

This gift pack holds two card samples in the front pocket, while...
the two inner pockets contains EVERYTHING needed (including pop dots) to duplicate the card samples. When complete, she will have a six pack of cards that she will be able to bless others with. How wonderful is that!?!
Hope today's post will inspire you to create something for a very special someone in your life. Be blessed in the Lord...Aloha

Christmas Stampin All Year Long...Challenge #4

Happy Presidents Day everyone! Wow Monday is already here and so is another round of CSAYL's challenge. This is the sketch Maria challenged us with. But...along with this sketch she added a little twist to it. At the request of CSAYL's readers, a snowman image was to be included into our design. Great!!! We love snowmen. So the blog team went to work and wah la!!! It was done. Check out all their fabulous work here. Hope you will be inspired and play along with us.

The first thing I thought of when it came to snowmen were, of course, snowflakes. So here I went again, with my cricut, to create that huge gigantic (chipboard) snowflake. I got a kick out of it, the size and all (lol). IRL, it is very pretty with that glittered effect. I dunno...do real snowflakes ever get that huge? We island girls, really don't know, hmmmmmmm...and...being from Southern Cali, the only snow I've ever experienced were in the mountains, already fallen. So...hmmm...

I love this snowman stamp. It's part of SU!'s "Holiday Woodcuts" set. And the sentiment is part of the "Flaky Friends" set, also from SU!

Card Details:
Stamps: snowman & sentiment (SU!)
Paper: CS & DP (SU!)
Ink: markers (SU!), versacraft blk ink
Accessories: cricut cartridge (Accent Essentials), glitter, ribbons, brads, embossing powder

Hope you enjoyed your visit today and as always, I appreciate you. Have a very blessed day with your family and remember...Jesus loves you!

Mini Magazine Holders...

First... hope you all had a very blessed Valentines. Today was a very beautiful day in Hawaii. A very, very windy day in Hawaii. But needless to say, it was wonderful. It was all about "Family". Yep...me, my DH, and our three little sweethearts. The day flew by so quickly but I was able to get some crafting done, which I would like to share with you.
I seen these cute Mini Magazine Holders all over blog land and thought I'd give it a try. Most of them I saw were created to hold 3x3 note cards. I didn't have any envelopes for 3x3's so I decided to create mine to hold our standard 41/2 x 51/2 cards. Although I had to adjust my measurements to accommodate my card size, it was easy.
I made these for two of our stamping sisters, as my gratitude to them. Hope they will enjoy it. Each set includes (4) cards with envelopes. Both sets were stamped, using the same sentiments. Four different sentiments in all.
Although it was time consuming, it was a fairly easy project to work on. I enjoyed it and am very pleased with the outcome.
Details:
Stamps: SU!
Paper: DCWV premium stacks, SU! stock
Ink: Blk VersaCraft
Accessories: CB embossing folder, ribbon, prima flower, gem Stones, scallop punch, & circle punch

I appreciate you stopping by and sharing your thoughts. Thank you so much. Aloha and Jesus loves!!!

Little C's Weekly Challenge~ Color Time

Happy Tuesday all! Another day for Little C's Weekly Challenge. This time around we have decided to challenge the diva's with a Valentine card, using a color combo. The selected colors are Red, White, and Blue.

Here's my take...

Let's see, there are at least three more flowers under each corner flower. With this photo shot, it's kinda hard to tell. Speaking of which, these sweet flowers are of the "All Natural Accent" line. Which can be purchased at Little C's. As for Angel Anya she is just too cute, don't you think!?! Her halo and wings are covered with "Frosted Lace" stickles, which is also hard to tell. Sorry...

Card Details:
Stamp: "Anya Angel" (The Greeting Farm), Sentiment (SUInk & More)
Paper: Stock (SU), DS (unknown)
Ink: SU markers
Accessories: Flowers (Little C's), Dew Drops, CB Embossing Folders, Stickles

Please pop in here and check out the rest of the Diva's creations. Be inspired and come along and play. I appreciate your visit. Have a very blessed week in Jesus...Aloha!

Tis' The Season...Take Three

Aloha Everyone! Today is our Christmas Stampin' All Year Long's sketch challenge three. Check out the sketch Maria challenged us with. It's great right!?! Looks fairly simple, right!?! So why did I wait until the very last second (before it was due), to create my card??? Why, why, why??? I have to STOP! doing that. It was such a rush job and no one else to blame but me, myself, & I!!! (lol). Although I must admit, it was a fun card to make and I guess it's safe to say that I'm pleased with it, after all.

For a great lift, check out the rest of "CSAYL" divas and their take on this challenge. Hope you'll be inspired and come along and play. Lots of time left to jump in. Have fun and enjoy!

Okay now, here I share with you my very last minute card. In other words...my rush job (lol). I just love this stamp. It's gotta be the cutest. This image is "Snow Family" from Penny Black, which I picked up from Little C's just two days ago and couldn't wait to use it. I created the background using a CB embossing folder, puffy velvet for the rims of their snow caps, and designer snaps (also purchased from Little C's).

As for my snowflake charm, I created this first by cutting out a few snowflakes. Using the cricut, the cartridge "Accent Essentials", and Jen's tutorial on how to create your own chipboard, I went to town. Once my snowflake chipboard was done, I then colored it with a Stampin' Up marker and piled tons of crystal glitter all over it, giving it that crystal effect. IRL this snowflake turned out so pretty. Card Details:
Stamp: "Snow Family" (Penny Black)
Paper: Stock (SU)
Ink: SU markers
Accessories: Ribbon, Glitter, Cricut cartridge "Accent Essentials", Puffy Velvet, Designer Snaps

Have a great week...Aloha and God bless!

Thank you Wini!!!

For those of you who knows Teri (Big Ideas From a Little Girl), knows Wini. Whether it was one of Teri's gatherings or a visit to her blog, you've seen Wini. She's a sweet soft spoken sister, as I would say, Teri's right hand (awww...). A couple of weeks ago, Wini had a gathering. Oh it was so nice. Great fellowship, lots of yummy food (BTW...why is it that we local girls from Hawaii always talk about food- hee, hee), and purdy, purdy projects!

Here's our first one: I would have to say, this one's my favorite. The cover of this little notepad was made of very good quality acetate. The butterfly with wired pearls sits right on top . Felt flowers, Sizzix die cuts, & the Bind It All, were all part of this project.
Here's a peek at the other three projects we had worked on too. Gotta love that DS paper from Stampin' Up

And...this is the door prize I won!!! Every part of this calendar is so perfectly put together. Handmade by Wini. Sorry I don't have a shot of each page. But...IRL it is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you again Wini for your great hospitality.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for stopping by. Aloha and God Bless!

More Wonderful RAKS...

Lookie all my blessings! First one is from sister Jodi of Hawaiian Angels. I tell you, every time she shows up at any of our "Glama Girl" or "Little C's" gatherings, she never comes empty handed. She'll either have food to feed us (lol) or a special RAK for each of us. But usually...it's ALWAYS both =)

I believe she used her cricut to create this cute little heart tote. Which also included some fancy heart shaped clips. As for the little Valentines card next to it well, it was just a little touch I added in there. This sweet lil' card was actually part of my gorgeous jewelry, also a RAK, received by sister Denise (please see previous post). Thank you Jo!!!

This next RAK is from sister Lori of Love to Dream, Skyz Da Limit. Oh my, she not only craft and stamp but she....CROCHETS!!! When Lori mentioned to Jen & I that she crochets, our wheels started turning (lol). We were so excited and asked her if she can crochet us, our own flowers. Actually Jen was so inspired that she has now taken up crochet (kinda sorta). You go girl!!! Thank you Lori!!! Now...this last RAK is from Gracie of Created with Aloha. Oh my, my, my...it was such a surprise when my daughter told me I had mail. Let me tell you, it was not mail! It was a gigantic envelope full of sooooooooooo much wonderful goodies. As though it was my birthday or as though I won blog candy (lol). I could not believe my eyes! Now that reality has set in, I'm ready to use them =) Let me share with you the best part of all (which I wish I'd taken a photo of), the envelope was addressed to: "Princess Corrina Farrar". My DH, daughters, and I got such a huge kick out of it. Only Gracie would do that. Thanks Grace!!! Thank you ladies for your sweet thoughtfulness. I am truly blessed by your friendship and sisterhood.

Valentines...Mini Candy Bar Holder

Well the day is near an end and I just wanted to share a really quick post with you, before I hit the pillow. These little treats I decided to make at the heavy encouragement of my ten and seven y/o. They are forever wanting to give things out to their friends so, the crafty side of me said..."how 'bout if I just make something!?!" so of course, they jumped at it.

Here is what we decided to make. These "Valentine" mini candy bar holders were actually cased from Dawn's Stampin' Studio. I just admire her work and thought I'd share a little of it with you.

I slightly altered it a bit. But over all, the base was taken (oops...I mean cased) directly from Dawn's place. It was fairly simple and fun to make, once I got the hang of it. The DP are all left over scraps, which I was very happy to have put them to good use.Card Details:
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge
Paper: Stock and DS paper (SU)
Ink: SU markers, VersaCraft (blk)
Accessories: Ribbon, Embossing powder, Cricut cartridge "Accent Essentials"

As always...thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed your visit! Aloha...

Little C's Weekly Challenge~ Sketch Challenge

Happy, happy, happy to share with you all, our very first Little C's Challenge, for this new year. But before I do, please join in and welcome the new designers for Little C's : Maria, MacKenzie, Heidi , Jen C, Jackie, & Margie (Guest Diva)

Our first challenge starts off with a sketch challenge, created by Maria . Each week, we'll be alternating between a sketch and a color combo challenge. We hope to inspire you to come along and play with us. Little C's will then select one lucky person at the end of the week, to receive a very special something, as a prize.

For this challenge, the image I chose to use was Whiff of Joy's "Angel Hugging Heart", which can be purchased from yours truly...Little C's. Their angels are so adorable, it was kinda hard to select. But I did, and this is what I came up with. Here I used TAC's DS paper, CB's Embossing folder "Dots", SU Markers, and ALL Natural Accents from of course Little C's. Here's a closer shot of the "All Natural Accents" leaves and hibiscus. I love working with these. They are very versatile.

For more details on the challenge, please be sure to stop by to visit Little C's blog and while there, check out the great work by the rest of our designers. Also, Jen has a great Valentine Special going on right now. Catch the deal before it ends.

Well as always...I appreciate you stopping by and blessing me with your visit. Thank you so much!

Tis' The Season...Take Two

Happy Monday all! Hope your week is off to a wonderful start. Today I share with you, round two of Christmas Stampin' All Year Long's sketch challenge. Gotta love this rounds sketch. When I first saw it I knew instantly what it was, I was going to create.

Although it's kinda hard to tell, the blue stock has a very beautiful frosted shimmer to it. I've had this piece for a while now and wasn't quite sure if I wanted to use it. In other words...I wasn't sure if I was ready to actually let it go (lol). Using one of my snowflakes CB Embossing folder, I created the background on a piece of white card stock, to off set the design I had in mind...
snowflakes. To create the silver snowflakes, the "Joy" sentiment, & the silver spots on the scalloped strip, I used my SU stamp set... "The Snowflake Spot", VersaMark (white), and silver embossing powder.

Within the stamped and embossed snowflakes, I then added some light blue gem stones. I actually like how this card turned out and the simplicity of it, that I may create multiples, using different colored shimmers. What do you think!?!

For more inspiration, pop on over to Christmas Stampin' All Year Long and check out all the awesome creations done, by the rest of our blog members. Hope you will join in on the fun. Till then...happy stampin'. Aloha and God bless!!
