Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii's Featured "Aloha" Blogger

A big congratulations to Kyoko, for being SSH's Featured "Aloha" Blogger of the week. As I visit Kyoko's blog "Cards and Tags Mania", I cannot help but smile. She is so funny and it never fails to amaze me of how entertained I feel, while visiting her. It does not surprise me as to "why" her blog is full of RAKS both sent and received. As I would say...very loved and "blessed".

I was inspired as I came across Kyoko's Post-It Note Holders and decided to make one for someone whom is very close to my family. Because I decorated the front of the acrylic holder, I decided to use a solid color in the background. Omgosh the white crinkled paper is really gorgeous. Believe it or not, it is totally "handmade" paper. As natural, as paper can get.

The paper, the green fern leaves, the green squares with the white hearts, the orange flowers, the crimped tan paper, and the twine...ALL NATURAL! They are all part of the "All Natural Accents" line, which Little C's is very big on stocking. The only embellishment on this frame that is not natural, is the large prima flower.

This was actually a fun and quick project to put together. The hardest part, I would have to say, was the layout. That goes to show, how easy it was.

Well as always, I appreciate you stopping in. Have a very blessed day and Mahalo!

Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii's Challenge #6...Dew Drops

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend, so far. This week, SSH has a new challenge going on for you. Please be sure to pop on over and check out the complete details. There is some nice goodies just waitin', for a winner. Part of the challenge is to create, using dew drops. As you can see, I decided to create using red and green glass dew drops. Perfect for the strawberry DSP.

It was raining dew drops on this card and on the paper crafted ice cream cone as well. For this challenge I used one of Little C's newest items in stock, CC Designs "Sweet Kiki". It's kinda hard to tell but the ice cream cone Sweet Kiki is holding, is covered with stickles.

Here's a couple more ice cream cones that I created as a RAK, for some of the Glama Gurlz, at last month's gathering. I know...it's so sad that it took this loooooooong to post. The original cones were embellished with either pink brads or pink pearls. The latest cone (shown above), sportin' the pink dew drops, was actually created to fit in with my card theme and dew drop challenge. I was very pleased with how cute these cones (filled with mini candy bars) turned out. Though I must be honest, it was not my brilliance, intellectual thinking. The idea was cased and the template can be found by clicking here.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend and much blessings to YOU! Aloha...

Cow Emma Celebrates The "Harvest"...Milk Carton Treat

Aloha all! heading out the door but before I do, I'd like to share one of my latest with you. Here's one of Little C's newest stamps from CC Designs. Another cute image, the cutest, I think. Meet "Cow Emma", what a perfect way to show her off, then on a milk carton (lol), don't ya think!?!
This time of the year while many are off gettin' ready for Halloween, our household is preparing for a time of "Harvesting". "Harvesting" in the sense of, sharing the gospel with any and all those coming around for a treat. Which is why I chose "celebrate the...Harvest" as my sentiment. This sentiment was computer generated. Praise the Lord for today's technology, huh!?! So quick and easy.
These shimmery circular flowers were punched out from a DS paper, found in my scrap pile. The light green pearls and designer ribbon are just some, of the many embellishments, Little C's carries.
Be sure to go and check out all the the new stamp sets that Little C's now have AND all the new ones, soon to arrive. While you're at it, hop on over to Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii to peek at what the other DT's have been doing with these new stamps.

As always, thank you for blessing me with your visit today. Have a wonderful evening. Aloha and God bless!

Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii's Featured "Aloha" Blogger...

Hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday, today's posting goes to Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii's Featured "Aloha" Blogger, Joy of A Place To Be Me.

Before I share with you the project I've been inspired by Joy, to create, let me first share with you this wonderful RAK she had sent to me months and months ago, during my MIA days (sorry for the loooooooooooong delay Joy). I loved it and was so encouraged to create one myself.
Although Joy is one sister that wears many hats, crafting is where she truly has a fine gift in. Pop over to her blog and you shall see what I mean. She can make everything and anything. She has, and will always be, such an inspiration to me. Thanks Joy!

This is what I came up with but...after really looking at it, I decided it was just too plain and will be dressing it up a wee bit more. Till then, this is the first take...
As you can tell, this envelope/folder is also a shaker box filled with a variety of pretty mini, mini beads. I lined the scalloped nestie with pink gem stones and the flowers are made of felt with more pink gem stones attached. Both the pretty gem stones and the beads can be purchased at LittleC's.
These are the actual images that Joy has blessed me with. I used them in my photo just to give you an idea of how well it fits. Nothing too fancy but very easy to make.
Thank you for stopping by today. As always...may you have a beautiful day in the Lord. Aloha and God bless!

Lookie...A Sarah Kay Accordion Purse...

Happy "Aloha" Friday! I have a real quick one to share with you all today and then out the door I must go. Although I've created one of these purses previously, I wanted to take a shot at making another one and actually, I like the way this one turned out. IRL it's really pretty. Sorry for the fuzzy photos.

As I've shared before, I love the Sarah Kay images and as I've always mentioned, they just remind me of my girls. Which is why I chose to use this sweet little "Spring is Back" image. Pop on over to LittleC's and check out the big sale going on, especially the Sarah Kays...woohoohoo!

By the way, if I hadn't mentioned it yet, this is an Accordion type purse, inspired by Maria of Stampin' Inspirations. This type of purse can be very versatile. I plan to use it as a holder for the "Sarah Kay" card kit, that I will be working on very soon.

The bunches of flowers were all elevated, giving it a 3D appearance, using pop dots.
Although it may appear like a scuffed up flower button(lol), it's not. This button is actually formed from a coconut shell, with it's natural look. For a lil' flavor, I added a clear dew drop in the center of the button.

As always, I am so blessed by your visit. Have a wonderful day and...an awesome Labor Day weekend. Aloha and God bless~

Stamp n' Scrap Featured "Aloha" Blogger...

Aloha all! Hope you're having a fabulous weekend. It's a beautiful day here in Hawaii. We're off and on our way to the "How To Walk" conference hosted by KLHT radio and Calvary Chapel Honolulu. Although there are lots of great speakers scheduled, I am so looking forward to hearing Greg Laurie and his awesome testimony, once again.

Before we leave out the door however, I would like to share with you, SSH's featured "Aloha" blogger. As Jen (LittleC's) would put it... Queen of HK projects..... Enjoli Bennett!!! Pop on over to her blog and you shall see why. Although there were many, many great creations by Enjoli that inspired me, here is the one I chose to work with...cupcakes.

I saw this "Box of Cupcakes" awhile ago on Inking Idaho and has always wanted to create one. What better time to bring out Enjoli's work, I thought. I wasn't sure as to how, I would decorate the cupcakes until I went and browsed through Enjoli's blog and, taadah...there it was, a perfect cupcake.

This box is a very good size, designed to hold 6-8 embellished cards and envies.

This is what it looks like from the top, looking into the box through it's cupcake shaped window.

Here's a set of (4) standard cards created just for this cute box. The inner side of the cards have also been stamped and colored. Sorry no photo

Well, it's time to head out the door. Thank you for stopping in, till the next time...Aloha and God Bless.

Gathering Island Style...

This past Saturday Teri (Big Ideas From a Little Girl) hosted an Island Girl event. A gathering to include some of the most talented, creative sisters on the island of Oahu. Omgosh, it was so much fun, laughter, prizes, projects, demos, bentos, AND...rootbeer floats! Although many of us have built our friendships through blogland, for several, it was the first time meeting in person. And yes, we had our "Wild" ones there too, whom I won't mention (KYOKO, DENISE, JOY, & LINDA-lol). But not to worry, the "Mellow" ones were also in the house like um...ME! (lol).

For my island sisters, I created this RAK, using an image from Dandelion Designs. It was a perfect fit for the theme I wanted..."Ladybugs". The candy holder was created using cricut's version of SU's Top Note and the idea, I cased from Dawn Easton (Treasure Oiler Designz)

A bunch of them...35 in counting.

Although two different sets were created, both consisted of yummy mints.

I feel so blessed to be a part of this fabulous group of women. All who attended and all who weren't able to make it, your friendship/sisterhood has blessed me immeasurably.

Mahalo to everyone who contributed to this awesome event. Every part of your efforts, was well appreciated. I cannot thank you enough. In addition, to all who attended, your presence made it more delightful. Thank you, thank you, thank you Teri for such a wonderful time. My daughter and I were truly blessed.

Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii's Featured "Aloha" Blogger...

Aloha everyone and what a beautiful day in Hawaii, it is. Thank you Lord!

Just in case you haven't heard, let me bless you with this week's SSH's featured "Aloha" blogger. Please help me celebrate Chalsie of Paper Kisses. If you're not familiar with Chalsie's work by now, you MUST pop on over to her blog and check out the variety of ideas she has. You will be so inspired. I totally am!

Anyhow, for this week, the DT of SSH was challenged to share a part of Chalsie's work, that has inspired us. So with that being said, I share with you these cute cocoa holders/pouches which were fairly easy, quick, and fun to make. It'll be perfect for my 11 y/o's sleepover, soon to come. They will love it.

For now, I created a set of three...

Here is Mermaid Anya, sportin' some purple gems in her hair...

Next we have Angel Anya, with her silver (stickled) halo...

Last is Princess Anya, with her gold (stickled) crown...

A small tab was attached to the lower part of the inner pocket, which will be tucked over and through the slit on the front cover. Securing the whole pouch.

The inner pocket actually can hold a little more than just the cocoa packet. So we (my 11 y/o & I) decided to add a little bag of mini marshmallows (soon).

To check out the rest of the DT and their creations, please pop on over to Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii. Hope you'll be encouraged and...create, create, create. Till then, have a wonderful weekend, thank you for stopping in, and God bless! A L O O O O O H A....

Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii- Challenge #2

Happy Aloha Friday and hope your day is just as beautiful, wherever you may be, as it is in Hawaii. This has got to be one of the most beautiful days, anyone could ask for. Bright, sunny, blue skies, and a nice breeze with the fragrance of the plumeria flowers in the air. Wow!!! God is truly so good and it is by His hands that this great beauty was created. My girls are off in the family room entertaining one another and just laughing and giggling away. I love it. As their mommy, it blesses my heart to hear (and see) the joy in their spirit and their little hearts. I am truly blessed. Thank you Lord!

Now, as for the week's SSH challenge, we were given this very beautiful image to work off of. Check out those colors. Don't they make the prettiest combo? Yes, the layout and details are great but...I was so inspired by the color combo. Very gorgeous and vibrant. However I selected only certain colors to work with and this is what I ended up with...

I was so inspired by the beautiful Accordion bags/purses that Maria (Stampin' Inspirations...) created and decided to take a try at it. My 11 y/o needed a gift holder to put her little bags of trinkets in, that she will be giving to one of her girlfriends. Perfect! I had the perfect gift holder in mind, for her. So there I went, on to creating it. Of course I geared toward the younger age.

I love the "Girlie" images from Penny Black. As I mentioned earlier, it reminds me much of my girls. This image "Always Here", the DS paper kit "Blossom", and the designer ribbons are just a few of many items sold at Little C's.

Just as any other project, the measurements of this Accordion Purse can be adjusted according to one's needs. In our case, this will suit the need of the little trinket gift bags just perfectly.

Purse Details:
Stamp: "Always Here" by Penny Black (Little C's)
Paper: "Blossom" kit by Three Bugs...(Little C's)
Ink: SU! markers
Accessories: ribbons, stickles, designer brad, scallop & circle punches, oval nesties, CB Dots folder.

I appreciate you stopping by. Pop on in at Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii to check out what the rest of the DT's came up with. Hope you will be inspired. Till then...Aloha and God bless~

Always Remember...

This evening I share with you a project we did at Jen's (Pieces of Me), for the Glama Gurlz gathering. I kinda added a little more embellishing (just a tiny bit) than what the sample showed. To get a better idea, check out this really cute one done by Jen and...for more flavor, check out Maria's, whom the actual idea originated from. Thanks Jen and Maria. It was fun!

I used digital images from Nancy Kubo designs, scallop circle nesties, pink gem stones, cuttlebug folder, DS paper, and both solid & printed ribbon.

I decided to go all "Stickled" out which began with the flower. The sentiment "Always remember..." is a sticker from one of my paper kits.

The pretty lil' butterfly is also with stickles.

Here's a peek of the inside. Left side is intended to post little notes, using the butterfly magnet. Yes, there's a magnet somewhere under him (lol). Right side holds a mini calendar and a pad of "Post It's". A decorated pen was also included but... I think some sticky little fingers got a hold of it. And now, the pen disappears, ugh.......

Thank you for stopping by. Till tomorrow...Aloha and God bless~

Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii's Featured "Aloha" Blogger...

If you haven't heard by now, Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii now features "Aloha" Bloggers. Honoring our talented sisters from the beautiful "Aloha" state, Hawaii. Every other week SSH will highlight the selected "Aloha" blogger, interviewing her and displaying her response along with some of her creative projects. The SSH design team are then challenged to share, through their creation(s), of how our "Aloha" blogger has blessed and inspired them. Please be sure to pop on in and see all the fun and buzz going on at Stamp n' Scrap Hawaii.

Before you do however, I would like to bless and share with you our very first "Aloha" blogger. Please help me celebrate HER...Michelle of Mushi's Creative Inspirations.

As to many of you, Michelle has been such an inspiration to me in many ways. However when I think of Michelle's creations, the first that comes to mind, are all the many projects she so easily puts together. I love her variety in bags and totes, which is why I chose to create off of her "Tote Bag with Matching Note Cards".

And, here is my version...

This cute tote holds (4) 3x3 note cards with envies and... there's still lots more room to throw a few extra goodies in it, believe it or not.

Project Details:
Image: Himawari's "Princess Carina Ballerina"
Paper: DCWV DS Paper (LittleC's)
Accessories: eyelets, scallop & circle punch, ribbon, and "All Natural Accents" (LittleC's)

Thank you for peeking in. Please be sure to check out SSH's highlight on Michelle along with the wonderful creations from the rest of the DT's. While there, bless them with a word of encouragement. Till then, may you have a very blessed weekend in the Lord and...ALOHA!
